05/07/2005 - Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce Royal Network Lunch
Lynne and Nick Gale were delighted to be part of a very special Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce Lunch which took place on 5 July at Blundell Park, Grimsby Town FC’s stadium attended by a full house of around 180 members.
Although the Guest Speaker was introduced as HRH The Duke of Edinburgh by the Chair of the Chamber of Commerce, it was actually HRH Prince Andrew who was attending and who sportingly laughed off the faux-pas!
The lunch theme was "A Taste of Lincolnshire", and as a result of Prince Andrew’s penchance for fish, chips and mushy peas, the excellent Grimsby Deep Fried Haddock went down a treat.
The lunch itself was the focal point of a day long visit by Prince Andrew to the area to see the new CHP plant at Conoco Philips and a trip to see how the CATCH chemical training plant was progressing.
